Hillcrest Turf & Landscape Management

Hillcrest Landscapes Image

Hillcrest Turf & Landscape Management is the newest addition to the Hibbitts Consulting family. An established Landscape Design & Lawn Maintenance business, Hillcrest did not have an effective web presence. In the past, they had relied on word of mouth advertising as well as the Yellow Pages. I performed a Competitive Market Analysis, designed the website and provided hosting and domain name management. The website is optimized for search engines, and I am in the process of creating a strategic Internet Marketing Campaign for them. In a few months, Hillcrest Turf & Landscape Management will be poised to own their keywords, and I expect their ROI to at least be in the triple digit percentages.

Affilliate Criticism.com

Affiliate Marketing Image

Affilliate Criticism.com is a community web site featuring Articles, Training Materials and Tips for Affiliate Marketing Pros. I created a custom blog theme (Nucleus CMS skin) for the site and am in the process of performing Search Engine Optimization and Search Marketing for the Site. Future plans for the site include Twitter integration, and an email marketing "opt-in" list. The site currently faces an uphill battle, as Affiliate Marketing is a highly competitive space, but I look forward to the site's success.

Just Playin Around, LLC.

JPA website image

Just Playin Around, LLC, is a Cary, NC drop-in child care provider. I did a simple re-design of their site, but the main focus of the project was adding functionality and marketing the site. I added Google Maps integration, PayPal integration, and added Search Engine Optimization. The site is currently the #1 Google result for several search terms, and they have seen a corresponding increase in their revenue.

Sharkey - Pruitt Real Estate

Naples, FL Residential Real Estate Seminar

The Sharkey - Pruitt Real Estate team in Naples Florida needed a website for their one of a kind homebuying seminars. I designed the site and added Google Maps integration and Search Engine Optimization. The site currently ranks very well on Google, and the seminars have been a success. For this site, I also provided domain name registration & web hosting services (not something I normally offer, but it can be done).

The Cyborgelf - Science Fiction News & Reviews

Science Fiction Books, Reviews & News

The Cyborgelf (not his real name) offers science fiction news & classic sci-fi novel reviews on his site. I designed a custom theme for his site using Nucleus CMS as a Content Management System. I also integrated several forms of advertising into the site, and helped the elf obtain membership in several affiliate marketing programs.

Blooming - Designed and ported to Nucleus CMS by Hibbitts Consulting

Blooming - Nucleus CMS skin

Blooming is an original design by FreeCSSTemplates and ported to Nucleus CMS by Hibbitts Consulting. I prefer Nucleus over WordPress because of the simplicity of the administrative interface & the ease with which it can be "skinned" (Nucleus refers to the layout as a "skin" whereas WordPress calls it a "theme". Blooming is a fixed width, two column layout which has been tested on Firefox 3.0, Internet Explorer 7.0, Opera 9.6 and Safari 4.0. The skin is coded using valid XHTML 1.0 and valid CSS. It is freely available for download and use under a Creative Commons license.

AJAX data visualization - Online Calculator using the flot javascript library

AJAX data visualization

WIREDSMALLBIZ.com needed a series of online calculators with an AJAX data visualization component (that's a dynamic graph). I created this one using PHP as a backend to perform the calculations and the javascript graphing library, flot. The data is input into the form, then an AJAX call is made to the script to perform the calculations. The php script has to reformat the data and output the data back to the flot script, which then displays the graph. This type of script along with a graph component can be perfect for small business sites which need to report data to their customers, vendors or employees.

Google Maps

Google Maps integration with language translation

Fearofbuying.com needed an online "directions" page so that their customers could get directions to their seminars from anywhere. Their customer base is also multi-lingual so that was a consideration as well. I created this page using Google Maps, which has a multi-lingual capability built in. The potential customer simply enters their beginning location, and chooses a language. The script does the rest. I recommend that all of my clients with a brick & mortar location have a "directions" page somewhere on their website. You always want to make it easy for potential customers to find you. Note that Google Maps is a product of Google
